The second biweekly curated short film list is here finally! And this time the themes are more varied with different video mediums, as well as premise. Some is a story of love, while others tell of that of human nature as well as a simple animation of a dog.
And also to see if any of these will resonate with you. Without further ado, below are the curated list that we think deserved some spotlight!
100 Beautiful Things
The first one relates to theme of love, war and home. It’s a pretty decent short film that tries to explore the things we consider beautiful, and applying them into filmmaking.
Though some of the sound effects are inconsistent, and some of the imageries not as perfect, regardless it manages to be a interesting watch.
It is directed by Molly E. Smith, and is created for Prodigy Camp 2019.
BOB
Now for a simple animated short film that revolves around a sausage dog. Well, it does not have any complex premise as well as stunning visual…but sometimes we don’t need those to make a short cute animated offering.
It is created by Muhundan Balasubramaniam alone.
The Mind Dominance
Lastly, we have something that is a bit more psychological that will make you think. It’s a story of how one should handle an unknown situation…like deducing a mystery box.
Although the premise can be simple, visually it looks pretty legit with a tone similar to Black Mirror of early seasons.
It is directed by Alvin MKR, DoP by Dwayne Josephs and stars Chris Katako, Samantha Okan and Casilda Okan.
